TOWNLANDS OF COLLOONEY (KILVARNET) PARISH

W. G. Wood-Martin in his History of Sligo, Vol. III, Appendix I, gives the parish townlands in Co. Sligo. The parishes in question are the civil parishes, two of which, Ballysadare and Kilvarnet, comprised practically all of the pre-1978 united (Catholic) parish of Ballysadare and Kilvarnet. (As noted below there were also a few townlands that belong to the civil parish of Kilmorgan.) In 1978 this united parish was divided into two parishes, Collooney (Kilvarnet) and Ballisodare.
