Michael Collins, hero of the victorious struggle for Irish independence,
powerful and promising leader, people's favourite -- it's no wonder he
has been compared to John F Kennedy in his appearance, in the promise
of greatness they both held and in the story of two lives cut short by
a bullet to the head.
Beal na Blath, on the southern edge of our parish, is Ireland's Dallas.
Here are my own photos of the ambush site and of the monument which marks
