About us
Lough Derg Sub-Aqua Club was started in 1992. Our members are from Nenagh and the surrounding areas. Some of our members come from as far as Thurles, Roscrea , Terryglass and Killaloe.
The club is affiliated to IRISH UNDERWATER COUNCIL (C.F.T.).During the diving season, many of our members can be seen diving in Kilkee, Co Clare. During the Winter months, we meet every Thursday Night from 7-8pm in Nenagh Swimming Pool, for our winter training. After a hard training session we retire to the Abbey Court Hotel to recover. We also hold the lectures for the new trainees in the hotel as well. Come late February or March we head for open water. Open water snorkels takes place in Lough Derg, only 5 miles from NENAGH.
