In Murphy: "Well, first of all................................nothing to fear."(Murphy) Time: 4.49
7. Suffering: Suffering is one of the big mysteries of life. We all find it difficult to deal with or make sense of. In this interview Alberic Turner, a Cistercian Brother from Bolton Abbey in Moone, Co. Kildare, reflects on the questions around suffering with Marie Stuart RSM.
In Turner: "The only one that suffering makes..............through the years." (Turner) Time: 5.02
Side Two:
1. St Patrick's Breastplate: St Patrick's Breastplate is a well-loved, well-known prayer. Fr Michael Rogers talked to Lorcan Brennan about the spirit within the prayer, and how he feels it is the axle prayer of Celtic Spirituality. Fr Rogers is a Kiltegan priest who worked in Africa for many years and now lives in Glendalough. He is well-known for his retreat work and interest in Celtic Spirituality.
In Rogers: "Well, St Patrick's Breast.............presence of Christ."(Rogers) Time: 4.49
2. Book of Kells Re-launch: The Book of Kells is now on show at Trinity College, Dublin, along with an explanatory exhibition. As a professional person, she is one of a growing number of Christians who find the term 'lay', to describe those who are not ordained, to be inappropriate. She spoke to Brendan Quinlivan.
In Quinlivan: "Do you find.......................a very wide community."(Kernan) Time: 4.56
That's all for this week, which is my last week working on 3R Productions. Alan McGuckian will most likely be writing to you next time, as I am moving on to work with the Simon Community. I wish you all the best.
