Eight Abbey Community College Students represented the East Constituency in the European Parliament in Strasbourg on May 10.

Euroscola gave young people from across Europe the opportunity to take part in an exciting day of debates, meetings and discussions on a variety of European issues in the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Students were split into multinational groups and took their seats in the Parliament for introductions to the European Institutions and debates on the development of Europe. After Lunch in the Parliament restaurant, students met in committee rooms to debate themes such as Democracy, Human Rights, Environment and Issues Affecting Young People in Europe. European Integration wasa central focus of this years discussions.

This was a very special opportunity for the students involved and was a highlight of the colleges Golden Jubilee Celebrations.
