ALSI 1 and ALSI 2
The first skyline was produced by the Japanese Prince Motor Company. Prince was originally an aircraft company called Tachikawa Aircraft Co. and went on later to produce electric powered vehicles like the Tama-1. However these vehicles were dropped when petrol powered cars were proven more popular.

In 1955 Prince produced the first skyline called the ALSI-1 which lasted in production for two years. The car design features were copied from the American car styles of the 50's, all but in size. The ALSI-1 was noticeable smaller by far. It also contained a much smaller 1.5L OHV Inline-4 engine that only produced 60HP at 4400RPM. The car was available as a sedan and also in station wagon form.

The ALSI-2 from 1957 to 1961 used the same GA4 engine of the ALSI-1. In fact the only noticeable major change is the headlamps which now had four headlights instead of two.
