Ashlingua is a small personalised, residential adult English Language School, and Irish Holiday Centre, located in the quiet peaceful countryside, 2.5km from  Castlebar, County Mayo, in the green, rugged natural beauty of the West of Ireland.

Ashlingua is owned and managed by two teachers with over 25 years experience each,
who are
also R.E.L.S.A. qualified T.E.F.L. teachers.
 

 Courses.

We offer 1, 2, 3, or 4 to One, General, ESP and Business English, combined with leisure, sporting and cultural holiday activities.
 

Specialise.

We specialise in English Language Learning and an Irish holiday for couples, partners, individuals or groups of individuals from the same company, business or organisation. A unique inclusive package.
 

Accommodation.

Learning Guests are accommodated at Ashlingua, with Tutors and family on a full board basis.

Ashlingua accommodation is approved by the Irish Tourist Board.

Only fresh natural Irish food is served at mealtimes. Homebaking a speciality.
 

Learning English in Ireland.

English, as spoken in Ireland, is noted for its clarity, quality and high standard.
The Irish are a friendly, sociable, humorous and expressive people, who enjoy meeting and talking with other nationalities.
 

How to get to Ashlingua.

  Knock International Airport (30km), has daily scheduled flights from the UK (London Stansted, Manchester, Birmingham).

  Aer Lingus operate daily scheduled flights via Dublin (240km) to Galway Airport (80km) and Sligo Airport (80km).

 West of Ireland Holidays provides Information on Holidaying in the West of Ireland.

   Castlebar is well served by road and rail access, from all points of entry to the country.   Collection and return of guests, to and from the nearest Airport is included in the course fee.
