A DAY I'LL NEVER FORGET
Last Saturday my friend and I went swimming in the ''black pool''. We had tremendous fun in the water.
Suddenly a cry for help rent the air. I rushed to the edge of pool. A cold chill went down my spine. I saw what seemed to be a young child gasping for breath in the deep end of the pool. I knew I had to act fast. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a safety ring. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me and grabbed the ring. Meanwhile my friend went to get help too. As I threw the ring a brave man jumped into the water. A minute later the child was rescued. He was shivering badly and was gasping for air. Suddenly a doctor appeared with my friend behind him. He gave him first aid and the panic was over. The child's mother was in tears and thanked me for saving her sons life. It was a day I'll never forget.
