In 1999 the under-11 schools football and hurling championships took place and it was action from the word go. In football we played Ferbane and we won well. Then we played Tubber and luckily we won. We were in the semi final against Daingean and won by a small margin. We were in the final against Tubber. We trained hard for the big match and when the day came we played out of our skin and we won well. We had won the trophy.

Then in hurling we played our first match against Scoil Eoin Pol and we won by 5 points. Next we were playing Coolderry and we won. We were in the final and surprisingly we played Coolderry and we won after a brilliant match. We won the two finals and it was a great year for Ballinamere N.S.
