The GAA Museum

On the 11th of November we set off early to the GAA Museum. On the way we ate our lunch. When we got to Croke Park we went to the GAA Museum and we were handed leaflets.

On the ground floor there was 32 jerseys. There were televisions with questions about the players. In some rooms we could watch a video about the GAA. After 20-25 minutes we went upstairs. Here we saw the old Sam Maguire Cup and also medals won by individual players. There were also pictures of players from different counties. Beat of all were the games where everyone could test their skills in Camogie, Hurling and Football. We also saw a film called "A Sunday in September". This was very exciting as we saw the build up to an All-Ireland Final. We got an insight into how Croke Park is prepared for the final. We also could imagine the feelings of tension the Players and spectators were feeling. It was enjoyable.

Afterwards we were delighted to actually sit on the Cusack stand. We saw that the Hogan stand was being knocked down. We would have liked to take apiece home as a souvenir but unfortunately we couldn't. We had a great day. We'd love to visit again but next time we'd like to see more information as regards Camogie.
