08 MAY 2000 DJ TAUCHER DIVES IN
In a eleventh hour decision, famous German DJ and producer Taucher has been added to the
Planetlove2000 line up, at Nutts Corner, Co.Antrim, on May 28th. The mammoth dance
festival - Northern Ireland's largest - will mark Taucher's Irish debut and will see the
world renown DJ fly in from his native Germany to Antrim an hour before he's due to play
an fly back for his own Frankfurt nightclub residency an hour afterwards.
Taucher follows in the acclaimed footsteps of fellow German dance maestro's Paul Van Dyk
and Sven Vath but his wacky DJ antics mean that he's likely to be found dangling from the
ceiling wearing a wet suit during the closing set in the Gatecrasher arena.
The celebrated DJ and producer is currently resident DJ at Frankfurt's eminent club Dorian
Gray and fortnightly resident at Miami's Shadow Lounge.
Production wise, Taucher is among the world's top trance / dance remixers at present
having delivered, among countless others, the most popular interpretations of 'Ayla',
Quattra's 'The Truth" as well as DJ Sakin and Friends.
His late inclusion to the Planetlove2000 line up tops up an already impressive artist
roster just three weeks before 15,000 people descend on the site for 12 hours of
exceptional dance music and the most eclectic line up in the Planetlove series to date.
THE ELUSIVE ANDREW WEATHERALL
One of techno's most celebrated sons, Andrew Weatherall has been added to the prestigious
line up at Planetlove2000.
Belfast club Shine's most cherished but elusive guest DJ, Weatherall, will play the Shine
arena, also late in the evening on Sunday 28th May.
As well as his own venerable productions which include original dance pioneers Sabres of
Paradise and 2 Lone Swords Men, Andy put his Midas touch on Primal Scream's
'Screamadelica' album. And he's almost as famous for work that he has turned down as the
litany includes U2.
Andrew Weatherall said, "I always love coming to Northern Ireland, and I'm really
pleased to be part of what's shaping up to be a superb event."
