eath is Missing presumed..em. well that's the basic jist of this game, Death is missing and we all know what can happen if death is Missing, precisely, people cease to die, the last thing you want on getting up for a midnight snack is 3 ghouls and poltergeist nicking all the cakes now is it, so the tragically inept wizard, who can't even spell wizard properly insisting on spelling it wizzard, Rincewind and his trusty sidekick the Luggage (the ones you control) are called in to find Death and restore him to his normal position.
Discworld II is a classic Point-and-click game with a nice use of Cartoon like graphics, you can converse with the other characters and can manipulate objects on the screen.
It has been sourced from a couple of the Discworld books, "Mort" and "Pyramids" to name a couple but still has a good bit of originality slapped in there too.For all Discworld fans I think it's a must and at low low prices like £12 in the Game shops it well worth it.
So you're wondering, Hmm well how long can I play it for, it really depends how long you play it for but in personal experience it took around 2 weeks and that is with the help of a discworld walkthrough. And if you're wondering if it's like Discworld I well in a word no, although yes in some ways it has definitely moved on in the old graphics but the basic concept is still the same.
The only downside I can see to this game are the reams of dialogue Rincewind has to listen to before he can get the little titbit he needs to solve one of the puzzles, it starts to get tiring after the first 5 minutes let me tell you
Well after all that all I can tell you are the system requirements so you don't rush out and buy it to find your computers not up to it although I'd say it will, the game was made in 1996-
Ram-8Mb
Hard drive space-8Mb
