The director was Betty Heather, assistant director was Barbara Tighe. The play is a powerful folk drama set in the south-west of Ireland during the mid 1950's. It concerns itself with an attempt of a scheming match maker and a bitter woman to sell an innocent young girl in marriage to a lecherous old man. The play was performed in the Springfield Hotel, Leixlip, from Monday 7th April to Thursday 10th April inclusive. The cast of the play was as follows:
