| Blairs Inn was awarded the title of Irish Pub Of Distinction. A total of 175 pubs throughout the North and South of Ireland have been awarded this title. Each pub was independently assessed and had to
meet a number of specific criteria involving standards of comfort, entertainment and satisfaction. The staff had to be trained high standard, local tourism highlights had to be known to staff and advice had to be available to tourists.
Food had to represent value for money and had to feature excellence in the range from sandwiches to full menus. |

| In January 1998, John and Anne Blair were given the Licencing World Pub Lunch Award for the "welcoming atmosphere with open fires, good food and friendly management prepared to cosset their customers" at Blairs Inn. |
