Anthony
Molloy could return for another year The search for a new manager |
Anthony Molloy |
|
A special sub-committee
has been set up by the Minor Board to look into the
possibility of drawing up a minor management team. It is believed that a number of people in the county will be approached with a view to joining the management team. It is envisaged that after a team is in place there will then be an appointment of a manager from among the team. Early this week the name of Anthony Molloy emerged as one of the favourites for the job and although no confirmation was available, it is believed that the former All-Ireland winning captain is the frontrunner for the post. |

Puppet Theater The Spring Onion Puppet Theater will present the story of "Androcles and the Lion" at Ard Bia in the Heritage Centre on Friday November 3rd. There will be two showings of the production, 11am and 2pm. The production is recommended for children between 5 and 12 years, but is guaranteed fun for all. Admission is free but places are limited. Halloween Supper On November 7th the Ardara Senior Citizens are hosting a lunchin the Nesbitt Arms Hotel for their friends from Carrick. This lunch is for all the Senior Citizens of the Ardara area, so please try to come along. There will be music and entertainment following the lunch. The group from Ardara had such a lovely time in Carrick recently, that we felt we would like to return the compliment. We would also like to begin to do likewise with all the other area groups of Senior Citzens to keep up the friendship between all the parishes. |

A classic story of a man who started a small business in the 60's and through hard work and vision developed it into one of the most modern bakeries in the country, employing over 100 full-time workers. In recent years, he developed a market for specialised breads, with the creation of the "French Mill" product and the much publicised supply of wholemeal breads to Harrods of London. At local level in Ardara, he is a strong supporter of community effort, and as sponsor of the successful Ardara GAA team which this year won the Co.Donegal Senior Football title, would have shared the pride of all in the area. | ||
