Brendan Doyle, a dynamic and forceful saxophonist, is one of the most important of the new generation of lrish jazz musicians. After receiving his B.A. in classical music in Waterford in 1988 he moved to Dublin and immediately became a regularly featured artist on the jazz Scene there. He worked with all of the leading lrish jazz artists and also played with many prominent visitors including Kenny Wheeler, Hugh Fraser and John Taylor. In 1993, he received a scholarship to attend the Banff Centre in Canada studying under Pat laBarbera, Kenny Wheeler amd Chucho Valdes. In 1995 he recorded his debut album "Wiggle Squiggle" with his own quartet.
