A DIRECTOR and a development firm claimed in the High Court
yesterday that Limerick County Council granted them planning
permission for house building without warning them the development
might be affected by the construction of the Limerick-Nenagh
motorway.
Brian O’Connell and Concre Development Ltd, both of Fairgreen,
Ballysimon, Limerick, were granted leave by the court to seek an
order, by way of judicial review, quashing a decision of the council
to identify and publish off-line route options for the motorway.
Mr Justice Paul Butler was told by counsel that the matter related
to the section of the route for the proposed motorway.
