Virtual Tour of Ballyconnell area |
Ballyconnell is the most northern part of our tour and is the beginning of the Shannon/Erne Waterway.
With its 62.5kms of lake, river and stillwater canal sections there is something for everyone. It can get quite busy on the narrower sections with boat traffic but the fish don't seem to mind so why should we!

Ballyconnell Canal |
Derrycassan lake | The area offers extensive fishing. Garadice Lake (A) is by far the largest and is connected to Derrycassan (B) and Coologue Lake (C) by the Ballyconnell Canal. These lakes provide good catches of bream and roach, whilst the canal provides some good pike, roach, bream, hybrids, and perch. | Coologue Lake |
Cuillaghan lake | The group of lakes Cuillaghan, Killywilly and Tomkinroad just outside Ballyconnell are well developed for anglers |
