The House Sparrow

 

Appearance: The House Sparrow is a common bird. It has a grey crown, nape and underparts. It is 15cm in size. It has a black bib. it has black and brown streaks on its back. It has white cheeks. It has a triangular.beak. The male has a black beak but the female's is browny/orange beak.
Found House Sparrows can be found near people on farms, in towns, villages and cities.
Nest: Their nest is built in a hole usually in a building. It is a dome shaped nest with a side entrance.They use grass and line it with soft lining such as feathers, wool or hair. They lay three to five eggs. They use their nest as a roost in winter. They would use a nesting box if available.
Feeding The house sparrow eats seeds and will eat peanuts from a feeder.
