The Mistle Thrush

Appearance: The mistle thrush has lighter brown on its back.The mistle thrush has bolder spots than the song thrush.The mistle thrush is bigger then the song thrush.They have white under their wings.
Found: They live in trees or bushes in gardens and parks.They like to sing from high up in the tree. They are more common than song thrushes.
Nest: Mammy Thrush builds the nest in the fork of the tree higher up than a song thrush.They make a large nest from dry vegetation and they line it with dry grass.They do not try to hide it.The mistle thrush is a bossy bird. They will attack cats, birds of prey and people who come close.Their eggs are white with speckles. The male thrush will look after the first brood while the female thrush lays a second brood.
Feeding The mistle thrush got its name because they eat the berries of mistletoe.They feed on snails, worms, fruit and holly and hawthorn berries.
