Damien, Bryan, Colm and Darren made there way to the R.T.E. studios in Dublin last Friday the 10th of November. We traveled by train and then made a forty-minute drive from Houston station too the gates of R.T.E. Donnybrook in a roomy taxi.
Upon our arrival Steven the head stage manager for all the shows, greeted us. We had the privilege to meet famous R.T.E. stars like Dan Conroy - famous artist and author, George Hamilton - sports commentator and the gorgeous Louise Loughlin - presenter for kids music show "FISH" which is on Fridays starting at 5.30. We got to see studio 5 "FISH", "THE LATE LATE SHOW" studio, "WINNING STREAK" studio and the "FAIR CITY" studio. We eat in the R.Y.E. canteen where we meet all those famous people. Our highlight of the day was being aloud to stand behind the special cameras practicing being cameramen on the set of the famous soap "FAIR CITY".
We really enjoyed our day in the R.T.E. studios. It won't be long till were up there with an important job! This trip would not have been possible without the help off Celine Whalen - head producer for R.T.E. Miss Noreen Flynn - Mother of Colm who got us the tickets and got us there safely and more importantly got us home to Ennis exhausted but happy.
