The Chalet is a modern built centre on the lake shore of Lough Derg.
It sleeps 24 people (bunk beds) and has a fully fitted kitchen.
Electricity is pay as you use.

Outdoors

Camping areas are available locally. (No camping facilities at the
centre).
A full range of activities are available at the centre including
sailing, canoeing, swimming, raft building. All water activities are
carried out under supervision. The area surrounding the centre
provides for hiking, hill walking, orienteering, bivving and
backwoodsmanship. In nearby Killaloe there is a pitch and putt course and
bike hire facilities are available locally.

Violet Hill has accommodation for 24 with a room for 4 Leaders.
It also has a fully equipped kitchen, toilets and washroom. The
day room has a large open fireplace.

The centre has scope for the following activities pioneering,
nature walks, treasure hunts, exploring, orienteering and Scout/
Guide games.
