The Log Cabin is situated in the heart of the Slieve Bloom Mountains some 3 miles off the main road. The cabin can accommodate 20 persons in 2 dormitories and 2 Leader rooms. There is also a kitchen/dining room with a fireplace for heat. A generator supplies power for the cabin. Toilets available.

There is a limited area for camping next to the cabin. Plenty of firewood available. River flows by the camping area.

The area provides some of the best activity area for putting your Scout/Guide skills into practice. It is ideal for pioneering, orienteering, hiking, biviving, nature study and tracking.

The Scout Den is a modern, spacious building. Central heating throughout, a fully equipped kitchen, separate showers & toilets (including disabled toilet). Sleeping is on camp beds provided. The Den can accommodate groups of 30.

Camping Facilities will not be available until early 1997.

Tullamore offers great scope for activities such as swimming (by prior arrangment) hiking, orienteering and rockcliming in the Slieve Bloom Mountains nearby, rafting, canoeing in the Grand Canal. Educational tours of the Clara Bog Nature Reserve and a guided tour on board the Bord na Mona Bog Train.

The Main House in open all year round and has accommodation and catering facilities for up to 60 people and is ideal for a Cub Pack Holiday, training courses and conferences. Alpha Lodge is a small self-contained unit, providing sleeping and catering facilities. Ideal for small groups of up to 15 people e.g. Venture Scouts.
