Further Curriculum Information

The children of St. Nicholas' School follow the curriculum laid down by the Department of Education and Science. It is a broad, child centered curriculum, and incorporates all the following subject areas:

• English,
• Mathematics
• Gaeilge*
• History
• Geography
• Arts Education
• Social, Environmental and Scientific Education
• Music and Craft
• Religious and Moral Education** 
• French and Italian courses are currently being taught after school hours.

*Children of 10 years of age or over are not required if they so wish to learn the Irish language.

**While the school is predominantly Catholic we welcome children of all religions and have a number of International children enrolled.
