How To Get There
Road access to Achill Island is both scenic and excellent. After Westport or Castlebar
travel to Newport, take the N 59 to Mulranny and then the R319 through the Corraun
Peninsula to Achill. Once you cross the bridge on to the Island at Achill Sound, you
follow the road to Dooagh. We are on the left hand side of the road 100 meters past the
post office.
Bus Eireann services to Achill are frequent with Expressway Bus services connecting Achill
to the major population centres in Ireland daily.
Rail services are available at Westport (44 Kilometres) and Castlebar (50 kilometres) with
regular bus connections to Achill.
Connacht International Airport (85 Kilometres) is the closest airport to Achill.
