Project Aim
Ever since I started going online from home I've been intrigued as to how much time I spend online as well as how much it is costing. The phone bill is itemised and now Telecom Eireann has a separate section for internet access calls. This is well and good when the phone bill arrives but in the meantime I'd like to know how much it will be. Another use of logging the times would be to draw some graphs and see if there is a trend of some sort. To log the times I wrote a shell script that cats the start and stop times to a text file. I then began writing a Modem Log Viewer to list the information in the text file and calculate the cost.
I intend to put the source code online at some stage, which will probably be whenever I read the GPL and upgrade to the latest version of GNOME, oh, and soon after it think it is ready for its debut. A screenshot is available. Nothing spectacular.

I've updated the setup window and added in some error detecting. I'm also using a GtkStep to provide a NeXT look for the Gtk+. Have a look at the screenshot.

I've added in the new cost calculation code and relaid out the main window. A screenshot is available from the link above. I've also added in a setup window (screenshot) to allow for the setting of the on/off peak times and the length of unit in each timezone. I have to add in the cost of a unit.

At the moment I have a working version that will read in, list the times and calculate the cost. It has also been GNOMEfied. I've rewritten the calculation function though it will only work correctly for a 24 hour period. The unit costs and on/off peak times are hardcoded in :(
