General Introduction
The Union acts as spokesperson for its members and protects, defends and upholds their
interests. It represents their views on issues affecting them, both as students and
citizens. It represents students on matters relating to their education and it seeks to
protect and further their rights and entitlements.
Programmes
Through our office we provide a wide variety of services including accommodation
details, sale of bus tickets, USIT cards, student Gold Cards, passport photographs,
calculators, computer discs and lab coats. We also provide a laser printing and
photocopying service. As well as this we have five specific programme areas.
Welfare |
The union provide advice, information and help in matters relating to accommodation,
finance, health, contraception, the law, etc. |
Women's Rights |
Covering areas such as equality problems and issues and female representation. |
Entertainment |
The union provide a wide range of entertainment for the students. |
Rag Week |
Each year the union organise a week long entertainment schedule to raise money for
charity. |
Publications |
The union publish a fortnightly magazine for the students. |
