This year marks the 30th anniversary of our congregation. To mark the occasion special meetings were held on the theme "The need of the hour" Speakers included Dr. Frank McClelland (Toronto) who spoke on "The need of a balanced Christian life" Rev Ivan Foster (Kilskeery) who spoke on "The need of zeal to do God's will" Dr. John Douglas (Principal of the Whitefield College of the Bible) on "The need of the infilling of the Holy Spirit" Rev. R.J Beggs (Deputy Moderator) on "The need of Prayer, Rev Alan Smylie (John Knox Memorial church Belfast) on "The need of Revival" and Rev Thomas Murray (Markethill) on "The need of a burden for souls" Tapes are available and cost £1.50 each or £6 for a set. A new Session and committee have been elected for the Church. The new elders are Jim Bradford, Kenneth Condell and Jim wedlock. They have been ratified by Presbytery and will be ordained on Friday 21 September 2001. The new Committee are John Stewart and Richard Bradford. The election of a Session is a historic development in the history of the Church.
A Praise Service will be held in the church on Friday 15 June with Rev. William Mc Crea, Kathryn Mitchell, Joy McNeill and Paul Irwin.
