LEARING TO KNIT
We are the children from Room 8. We are in first class.
There are 32 of us and we are 6 and 7 years old. This year
we learned how to knit. Most of us love it and we have made
lovely dolls. Now we are knitting colourful patchwork blankets
for the dolls. We are very lucky because some mammies come in
to help us knit.
At first it was hard and then it got easier as we got more
practice.
We still need to concentrate and we use this rhyme
to help us:-
In the bunny hole
Around the bunny tree
Out the bunny hole
Off goes he.
