I was born in 1959 in Dublin City, on the east coast of Ireland.  Some 20 years ago, I moved to the west.  I began work at around age 14 as an office messenger and apprentice printer.  I joined the army at age 17 and became a driver NCO.  I left the army after 11 years service and took up driving as a full time occupation.  For the last ten years or so, I was a bus driver.   Following an accident in 1997, I've had to give up the driving and am now a student on a distance learning course with the National Training & Development Institute, (NTDI) a nationwide organisation training people with disabilities.  The course is an IT course and the aim is to receive a City & Guilds diploma in computer applications.  This website is a part of the training and incidentally, is my first attempt.

My hobbies include, fishing, reading, guitar (could be better), matters concerning nature, ie animals, conservation issues etc.
