U16 B Hurling Champions 1999

 

Minor Hurling Div. 1 Champions - 2000

Crusheen played the  minor Div. 1 hurling final  on the 23rd of September againts Cratloe in very wet conditions at Sixmilebridge. Crusheen did much of the hurling in the first half but still found themselves trailing at half time. The score was Cratloe 1-6 to Crusheens 0-5. When the second half started Crusheen fought back very well. But Cratloe didnt give up.  Then great points from Paddy Meaney and Gerry O'Grady put Crusheen in the lead. Crusheen won the game by a margin of two points. 

Final score  Crusheen 0-13     Cratloe 1-8.

U14's Hurling 7's

On the first weekend of September there was an U14 Hurling 7's competition in Crusheen. The following teams took part: Inagh, Ruan, Tubber and Crusheen. Crusheen won all their games and played Tubber in the final. It was a very tight match but Crusheen came out victorious. The winning captain, John Brigdale, was presented with a plaque, sponsored by Fogarty's. 

 

                         U/12 Hurling Tournament

This tournament was held over three weekends in Crusheen in September. Crusheen played Wolfe Tones, Spancilhill and Newmarket, in that order, in the first round. The first game against Wolfe Tones was an easy one. The second against Spancilhill was very hard but the Newmarket game was much easier. Their semi-final against Bunratty was a difficult ordeal. But this young Crusheen side emerged as the victors. The final against Bodyke was a tough struggle but Crusheen were victorious with a final score of Crusheen 2-5 Bodyke 1-6. Crusheen's captain, Ciarán, was presented with the Fogarty's Crusheen U/12 Premier Trophy by the sponsor Michael Fogarty.
