Regionally the venue list includes The Tube in Bray, the Sanctuary Of Sound (Thompson’s Garage) in Belfast, Kelly’s in Portrush, The Boom Boom Rooms and The Garage in Bangor, The Rye Vale in Leixlip, Passion and Blazers in Longford, The Foundry and Archie’s (Cisco’s) in Carlow, The Attic in Naas, Pa’s in Dundalk, The Earth in Drogheda, Strictly Rhythm and Phaze 2 in Limerick, Sir Henry’s, Hysteria, City Hall, The Foundry and Club FX in Cork, The Traveller’s in Castlebar, The GPO and The Warwick in Galway, The Sex Kitchen in Salthill, Can’t Stop and The Bridge in Waterford, plus other various clubs and hotels and college venues nation-wide. He is also presently guest DJing in the UK.
In 1989 Dean completed a course in ‘Radio Technology and Broadcast Techniques’, in Tallaght Y.T.C. Since he has held several successful radio residencies on stations including, ‘Club’ 106.4FM, ‘Super Q’ 99.4FM, ‘Fresh’ 107.9FM, ‘Pulse’ 103FM, ‘Power’ 102FM and presently work on Monday and Wednesday between 9-12midnight on ‘Kiss’ 105.8FM, Dublin’s new elite dance music station. Dean manages KISS FM. He has also featured both live and on tape on many different national radio stations, including ‘Radio Ireland’ 100FM, ‘FM104’, ‘2FM’ and the now gone, ‘Millennium’ 88FM, (where he worked with UK DJ Declan Meehan).
Dean runs his own various theme nights also around the country and beyond with his productions company, ‘Fresh Promotions’, previously called ‘Manik Event Management’. Some of their best-known and highly successful theme night’s titles include ‘Seventh Heaven’,
‘Phunk’Dup’, ‘Release’, ‘Sherry Trifle’, ‘Aural Sex’, ‘UP’, ‘Funkysensual’ ‘Strictly Groovy’ & the ‘70’s theme night ‘SHAFT’.
He writes for and contributes charts to many leading UK and Irish music publications including DJ, Mixmag, Mixology, Muzik, Music Week/Record Mirror, and Club~Dub, Hot Press, In-Dublin, D-Side, The Evening Herald, The Star, The Dublin Event Guide and
BassLine Magazine. He is currently writing and reviewing for Ireland’s UPROAR magazine. He also posts regular charts on the Internet.
Dean was voted ‘Best DJ of 1996’, by Wrangler/Universal Dance (/2FM) which saw him successfully headline a three month club tour around the country - the first of its kind in Ireland.
He has DJ-ed alongside many of the leading ‘big’ US and UK names and acts and has major Irish, UK, European & US tours planned for himself and his label in late 1998. He represented Ireland in Istanbul, in Turkey in 1999 with Jameson Distillers.
Dean Sherry is a unique and technical high profile mixing DJ and his great personality and talent shows in his music, and his ability to adapt, read, educate and satisfy his audiences.
Always looking forward, he has adopted the ‘FUTURE DJ’ concept, and is pioneering it in this country. Dean, together with his label partners, are preparing and seeking sponsorship for a world-wide tour utilising new cutting-edge live DJ technology.
A live act of this kind has never been seen before. They showcased this event at the ‘DJ Culture’ show in Manchester in mid ‘98.

Presently Dean is producing and has completed many tracks including "B.F.O.T.", "Addiction", "Ghost", "Blu", "Dogs", & "ProjX" (all scheduled for release), and is continuing working on exciting follow-up material with other DJs & musicians under different guises including ‘BEHAVIOR’. We have various plans including additional quality follow-up tracks and remixes, an album and an exciting extensive Future DJ tour, incorporating state-of-the-art technology to this live remix performance.
Dean also runs his own record label and DJ collective, entitled ‘IMPULSIVE RECORDS’; through which he is releasing Behavior’s material as well as some of his own experimental productions. He also wants to use the label to open the door for new Irish dance acts as well as possibly licensing other quality tracks. To support the label Dean and Darren are collaborating with established DJ/producer Tony Dexter in his Dublin studio (Cybersound) on various musical creations under various aliases including, (as well as "Behavior"), the "D.C. Collective" and "Dark Path". Utilising these different group names and involving different IR producers/DJ’s and other key Irish artists Dean aims to launch Impulsive during 1999 with a succession of singles from all and more of the above named acts. Other outside acts and producers are already signed and at work for the label on different creations and remixes. The aim is to cover as many of dance music’s different angles as possible in an effort to flood the world market with quality original Irish musical creations that touch on the wide and diverse variety of musical preferences, genres and tastes that is dance music today.
Dean is presently studying ‘Midi-Programming & Studio Operations’ in Area 51 Studios (Pulse Recording School) in Dublin.
