Ministers at Cahans Thomas Clark was the first Minister at Cahans from 1751 - 1764 John Rogers 1767 - 1814 William Mc Kelvey 1816 - 1827 Matthew McAuley 1829 - 1876 James Henry who was ordained in 1876 and moved to minister in Scotland in 1906; John Thompson Montgomery, ordained in 1906 moved on in 1913; James Steen (1913 - 1924) ministered during the difficult years of the Great War when Cahans lost 5 young men killed in action, and when others, men and women served, some suffering severe injuries; Samuel Fleming Stuart stayed only 19 months in 1925/6; William Armour, minister of First Monaghan, served as minister from 1928 to 1945.
