Tom Plunkett won the County Donegal Player of the Year award for 2000. His only defeat in league or cup games occurred in Killea when Shane Grant beat him two one. Charlie Murphy and Tom were selected for the county team which reached the semi-finals of the All-Ireland Inter-Counties tournament held in Tralee in May.
