A BIRTHDAY SPOILED!
Dear Michael,
I was reading your article in the Douglas Weekly when I came
across the story of the lady whose birthday was spoiled. I would
like to offer her and her daughter, dinner as a guest of the
Bohemian Restaurant and I have enclosed a voucher for same.
Yours sincerely,
Kenoz W. Hanna, Bohemian Restaurant, Douglas.
HOME FROM AUSTRIALIA
Dear Editor,
I lived for a while at Palace Ann Lawn before leaving for
Australia in 1970. I've only just found your page but please keep
it going it's great to read your local news.
I've read all about the crows from the tip and have many memories
of the trouble they caused years ago. I remember working during
summer holidays at the nuts and bolts factory, I wonder if it's
still there. I have family living in Carrigaline so I've been
looking through all your photos to see if you have them there.
Thanks and bye for now.
