PATHS FOR PEOPLE, ROADS FOR CARS ...

Dear Michael,

Seasons greetings to you and all your staff in the office of the ‘Best ‘ paper in Douglas. Will you, through your paper please ask the people of Douglas to refrain from parking on the footpaths at the end of Inchvale Road.

I have just seen what could have been an accident with a car, which I know belongs to a teacher. They have their own car park so why are they using our road?

I have no objection to parking anywhere as long as it’d done correctly and not as in most cases where half of the car is on the footpath and unfortunately it’s the same in the Village.

I always thought the paths were for people and roads were for cars. Presently I am involved in a lawsuit dealing with the same problem at night-time. It’s going on long enough.
Please no more illegal parking on Inchvale Road!

Yours sincerely
Anxious Resident
