LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

St Columba’s with facility for Deaf Children
On behalf of the management and staff of St. Columba’s I wish to thank all involved who made the recent fashion show such a huge success. Our heartfelt thanks to Brian Tobin and his hardworking committee in Douglas Rotary Club for their commitment and dedication to our project. Our thanks to Bronwyn Cross, of the Douglas Shopping Centres, for her help and enthusiasm in the organisation of the event. Our parents Association again surpassed themselves in their support for the school We are, as always, indebted to them for their dedication and hard work.
We are now looking forward to the development of the sensory garden / playground in the school grounds. Work will shortly commence on the project and I am sure that both our present and future pupils will all enjoy its pleasures
Le gach Dea – ghuí

Can You Help ?

Dear Sir
I wonder if you can be of any assistance to me in a search that I am undertaking. The person that I am looking for is Brigid Conneely (nee Flaherty). Brigid who I believe to live in the Cork area originally came from Spiddal, County Galway and she married Johnnie Conneely who was also from County Galway. Brigid had a brother Johnnie who lived and worked in the Shepherds Bush / Hammersmith area of London in the late 1940's.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
