The earliest photograph to hand of what is deemed to be Dustin's father.
The background to this man is unclear. We know he was born some time in the early 1900's in the South East Leitrim village of Carrigallen. We know from his birth certificate that he was christened Dusty Patrick Hoffman.
He fell in love with and married his 2nd Cousin Winney Hoffman and they were married in 1948. He worked locally as a Blacksmith for many years building up a strong business but died tragically, exhaustion and with lead poisoning one year before Dustin's birth and one hour after shooting season opened.
