After much debate the hot seat for 'The Late Late Show' has been fill. However not many people know that Dustin was in fact a front runner for the job.This promo shot was taken days before the announcement was due to be made. Commenting on the possible replacement, Gay Byrne conceded that it was time for a new face to anchor the stations leading chat show. But tempers flared shortly after when Dustin inquired if Kathleen came with the deal!
In the end it didn't matter as the big wigs at RTÉ had the final say, apparently the Director General of RTÉ was against the idea of having two turkeys hosting chat shows in consecutive nights.
