The much published appearance of Dustin's mother Winney on the Jerry Springer Show; 'Your too fat to dress like that' brought unneeded attention to her shy, retiring Leitrim son.
In a local press release with the Leitrim Observer Dustin asked the general public to forgive his mother's antics. He stated that she was undergoing shock treatment in Sligo General Hospital and would soon on her feet again.
Incidentally the show became a best seller on the video black market under the heading; 'The Leitrim's Springer Clinger!'
