DUSTIN IS FROM LEITRIM

Star Wars - Episode One with all it's hype has come and gone. But not many know the background to the original screening of 'Return of the Jedi'. Back in the early Seventies George Lucas, after a well published argument with Harrison Ford, encouraged Dustin to step into the role of 'Hans Solo'. To his credit he accepted the challenge and all was going according to plan on set until he faced his first scene with Cavan based actor Chewi Bacca.

Apparently Dustin could not get his pecker around his name and keep calling him 'Chew Tobacco'. This, as you can imagine pissed off the Belturbet native no end and recording was brought to a swift end. It's not a costume you know....they don't shave in Cavan.
