It's four thirty, I'm surrounded by half packed bags and I'm coming to understand the maxim that no matter how much time is available, the job at hand will always expand to fill it.....

I seem to have spent weeks packing for this trip and I'm still not finished. The funny thing is that once I get going I will never pack the bag quite so neatly again. I'll be stuffing things in and yanking things out as required. I'll be throwing things away too I'm sure, though I'm proud that I've managed to keep within my self-imposed fifteen kilo limit.

The flight to New York is tomorrow morning and I have no idea when I will next sit at a computer screen to update this journal.

Be assured though that I will have more to say!
