Cappaquin Mercy Convent,Co. Waterford

This Church is an example of the diverse styles and techniques that the artist works in. Its centerpiece is the tabernacle area, a brass structure which sweeps out from the tabernacle box and down to the floor like a fountain (click bottom left image). In the enlarged picture there is a sculpture-piece of two angels kneeling on the floor guarding a pascal candle. The fountain theme is continued throughout. The sense of emanation is further seen in the altarpiece (main image below), where brass rods intersect with a central sphere and rays seem to shoot out across the carpet.

There is a series of angels painted in oils on the walls near the ceiling of the chapel (click bottom right picture).
