The
third Annual Bealtaine festival took place in
Newbridge over the bank holiday weekend May 1st
Opening
night "The Big Bang "certainly did
start with a bang. Unfortunately our generator on
the night did not work, but this I'm glad to say
did not stop Kildare Performing Arts Group from
giving an excellent Percussion display.

It
continued the following day with K.P.A.G.
on the streets of Newbridge doing what
they are best at, entertaining the
community.

I'm sure people hearing the
music from a distance and then discovering where
it was coming from, were amazed and delighted at
the expertise with which these drummers handled
their drums, led by Eddie O'Neill founder of
K.P.A.G.
Every performance was well
attended by adults and children alike, who have
come to appreciate K.P.A.G.for their musical and
artistic input into the community since becoming
established in Co.Kildare.

The
burning of the Wickerman was a great
success, children and adults delighted at
such an old age tradition been
re-enacted.

Overall Bealtaine 98 was a
great success and we are all looking forward to
next year's Bealtaine festival. Hope to see you
there.
From all at K.P.A.G.
