O'Donnell. Born
in County Kildare, Pierce, son of renowned song writer
Theresa O'Donnell, is fast becoming a song writer of note
in his own right.
Runner-up in the
prestigious Cavan International Song Contest in 1995 and
going on to win the competition in 1996.
Pierces
song writing and performing abilities did not go
unnoticed by many influential music business personnel.
Shortly afterwards he was
signed to a reputable Irish based publishing company,
Acorn Music, which is headed by Brendan Graham, who is
the chairman of I.M.R.O. The Irish Music Right's
Organisation.
As a musician Pierce has an
experienced knowledge of guitar, percussion, and piano,
which enables him to arrange a lot of what he composes.
His songs have been described as a
marriage of ethnic rhythms and honest thought provoking
lyrics performed with genuine enthusiasm and conviction.
He is also aware of the
enhancing values of visual arts, and the importance of
dance and design. Pierce is currently seeking a suitable
recording company to collaborate with and assist him with
financial backing and professional advice to further his
promising career.
