Hi, my name is Chris Sheldon.
I am a pupil of Raymond Marquith School.Mrs Nelson is my teacher.I get up each morning at
6 a.m.I come to school on the bus.The journey takes about 10 minutes.About 85 other
students travel on the same bus.They are picked up from various stops along the way.I
arrive in school at 7:50 a.m. School begins at 8:10 am. I then go to my classroom.
At 8:30 class starts. For the first period we always do spelling.I like spelling. I get
most of them right. Sometimes we get difficult words so I have to spend extra time
learning them.
We get a break in the morning on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 10.00am. We do not get a break on Monday or Friday. The break lasts for 15 minutes. For break outside we play dodge ball. I do you bring a snack to school. On a wet day we color, or play board games in the class.
For the second period we do reading. I like all subjects I like when we write
on our keyboards.We send messages to our new friends in Ireland.They write back to us. We
are doing a project with them. Our teacher took photographs of us and we sent them with
our-mails.The teacher in Ireland is going to put the project together on the web.We can
then read it here.We are really excited about seeing ourselves on the Internet.
Our lunch break is at 11:05am.It lasts for 55 minutes. That is five minutes short of an hour.I have lunch in school. I don't bring lunch most of time--if I do I bring pizza lunchable or taco lunchable. I don't go home for lunch ever as I live too far away. I like to play in the schoolyard with my friends. We can make snowmen in the winter. There has been plenty of snow this winter to play with.There is not a lot of snow in Ireland.
In the afternoon we study English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. I enjoy reading. We get homework most nights. It takes me about 10 minutes to do it. School finishes at 3:15pm each day.
I spend 7 hours at school each day. I hate people bugging me while I'm working.
I like to work in a nice peaceful classroom.In school I like Math-a-thon and Christmas
Craft day.Christmas is a nice time in school. We make a lot of nice things. I work hard at
school.We sometimes work in groups. This helps us to work as a team.I like my teacher.Her
