My name is  Liam Flynn.

I am in a special class this year. I get up at 7.45 am and I go to the bath room. I then go back to my bed room and put on my uniform.
I eat my breakfast at 8.00 am.I usually have cereal and a cup of tea.I go to school at 8.30 am . I cycle to school on my own. I arrive at 8.45 am.I lock my bicycle beside the boiler house. Then I go to the line to put my bag down. I talk to the boys in the yard about this and that.The bell goes at 9.10 am. We all line up in our classes and our teacher brings us in. We all go to our own classes. We take out our books and homework and we get our table tidy.

We are in class number 3 this year.We take off our coats and hang them up outside the door. I sometimes forget and my teacher has to remind me to bring it out again. I often try and sneak it in behind his back, but I think he has eyes at the back of his head, as he catches me all the time. Our teacher lets us have a chat for a few minutes, before we start work. We then start our prayers.Then we go to work.

We start with our homework. Some boys give our teacher excuses as to why it is not done. He looks for a note, if the work is not done. Some boys say they forgot them. This drives him mad. We have PE on Wednesday. On Thursday we have swimming. We go down to Splashworld in Tramore. We go with other classes. I like learning to swim but sometimes there are too many in the pool. It is very noisy.We have to bring a towel and togs and something for the shower. It costs£2.oo for the lesson. We have to bring in £2.50 for the bus. It takes the bus about five minutes from the school.When we come back we have our lunch.

On Friday we have art. We are making Christmas decorations at the moment. We hang them around the class. We made them out of crepe paper. We have done some leaf prints and spatter painting. We all have different jobs. Some boys get the paint and others get the water and brushes. We then put the work on the wall. We play Monopoly when we have our work finished. Peadar brought in the game on a CD ROM but it crashed teachers computer. It just went blank. He had to call a technician to fix the computer. Dan is his name. He has a cool car. It is a Vauxhall Nova. It is a type of sports car.

After our homework, we do lrish and we do tables. Our teacher does the quick fire round, where he asks us our tables quickly. We really have to know our tables really fast. We have a small break at 10.30 am. We go out to the yard and have a run around. I bring in a bar and a bag of crisps to eat. I play football sometimes and I often just walk around. Most of the lads play with their own class.

At 10.45 am we do maths on the computer . On the Acorn computer and the on Apricot, we use "Maths Workshop" CD . At 11.30 we do religion. We learn about the bible and stories about Moses .

At 12 00pm we get a little break. I go to Mrs Hayes to help with my reading.Richard and Jason come with me.We go to a special room over at the other side of the school. On Monday mornings we do "Our News". There are 10 computers in our classroom. Some are working some or not. We spend a lot of time repairing them. Dan the technician comes out from Waterford to help us.I don’t like maths or spelling. l like computers and reading and English. Sir says I am getting better.I do my best in school.

We go home at three o’clock.
