John Lambert,
of Carlton, Craven and Yorkshire was an officer
in Clanricarde’s regiment with the Duke of Ormonde’s army in Ireland in
1689. He married Mary French. He had a lease of Creg Clare from the Earl
of Clanricarde in 1669 and settled there on the 23rd June 1659 and died
in 1683 leaving -

Lambert, ancestor of the Mayo Branch. (See

of Rahassane
Charles Lambert
of Creg Clare married Janet, daughter of Walter
Taylor, of Castle MacGarrett, Co Mayo, and was killed at the Siege of Derry,
1689, leaving a son.

On the 5th March, 1848 he married Elizabeth only daughter of William McO'Boy
of Stump Hill Co. Cork (who died 7th Jan 1903) and they had issue
