Comments I really enjoyed looking at your website.Fred was my Gran's brother Nelly Byrne who sadly died not so long ago. I remember spending Summer holidays in Sligo listening to Fred and Peter and grew to love the music Comments Dear friends, Fred Finn was my grandmothers cousin. I am looking for any info on him. I am just learning how much of an accomplished musician he was in Sligo. To type his name on the internet and find he has his own web site dedicated to him makes me very proud to know I am related to him. Please tell me more about your organization. After doing what little research on Fred that I have, I feel the need to put down my acoustic guitar and pick up the fiddle. All I have to do is find a fiddle, and learn how to play it. Thank you. Comments I was recently visiting Ireland with my parents to trace our relatives and I was delighted to find that Fred Finn is a distant relative of mine. My nana (Ellen Finn Shaughnessy) was a cousin of Fred Finn, Mary Kate Finn and Bea Henry. My parents and I were able to meet Bea during our visit, which was wonderful. It makes me proud to think that I am related to such a great man. The fact that you hold him in such regards is a truly wonderful thing. Thank you for keeping him in your memory. After my trip to Ireland, I will forever hold him in mine. Comments
