This unique Charger and combined Recycler for NiCd and NiMH batteries VT 3 by AKKU - LADETECHNIK Germany is usable with 230 V and 110 V mains power, 50/60 Hz.                                                                                                                                          After adding an extra module, the unit can be connected to a 12V-car battery

Output number 1 is:    7.2 Volts or 9.6 Volts, to be adjusted as needed for TX

               Charging capacity changeable by switch: between   1.0 - 1.4    Ah

                                                                                   and        1.7 – 2.1   Ah

 Output number 2 :      4.8Volts, changeable to 6.0 Volts by removing a jumper

               Charging capacity changeable by switch:  1.0 - 1.4 Ah and 1.5 - 1.8  Ah

Output number 3 :       4.8 Volts

               Charging capacity changeable by switch: 0.5 – 0.8 Ah and 1.0 – 1.4 Ah

By special order only: all outputs can be adjusted before shipping to voltage values between 2.4V and 12 V                                                                                                      

The built in CAPACITY METER can be switched to any one of the 3 outputs by positioning the sliding switch below the capacity display LCD – window to measure the REMAINING capacity in your battery.                                                                                 For assessing the “health” of your power pack simply discharge/charge, than discharge again! If the capacity of the fully charged pack is below 100%, repeat the charge/discharge 3 times as a “cure”. If the capacity does not reach 80%, dispose of it, it’s too risky, your equipment is far to valuable to loose this way!

The automatic discharge cycle before the charging cycle (14 hrs) will keep life in your power packs for years to come!                                                                                          But, if you only “top up”, than the discharge cycle can be easily be bypassed. Further more, all packs can stay connected, whilst receiving a pulsed trickle charge, for months without loosing any of the charge! This assures that:

·      You never have to worry how well your batteries are charged after a long (winter) break. The first good day and you are in business for flying!

·       Keeping an eye on the capacity your batteries store after a full charge gives you knowledge regarding the health of your packs: if you read less than 80% of the nominal capacity after 3 charge / discharge cycles, one of the cells is kaputt and must be changed or the pack discarded.
